The CATA Approved Provider Program recognizes organizations that deliver high-quality continuing education opportunities to CATA members. By enrolling, Providers gain the ability to offer pre-approved courses that award CATA members with Continuing Education Units (CEUs) for course completion.
Cost & Benefits
- The cost for Providers to participate in the program is $300 for a full 3-year period (aligned with CATA continuing education reporting cycles).
- As the current reporting cycle runs through December 31, 2027, Providers who join now will pay $200 only and receive Approved Provider status until that date. This includes having your courses listed on the CATA website with your logo, description, and URL.
- Once granted, Approved Provider status will apply to all courses and conferences offered by your organization.
- Your courses will appear on the CATA Approved Provider Catalog webpage with your logo, description, and URL.
- As an Approved Provider, your courses will be valued at 0.4 CATA CEUs per contact hour. This is double the CEU value CATA members can earn on courses from non-approved course providers.
Enrollment & Requirements
Providers must apply to participate in the program and provide information including:
- Provide organization details: name, contact person, email, phone, website, and mailing address.
- Share course information: types (synchronous, asynchronous, other), topics, delivery format (in-person, virtual, hybrid), sample outlines, and instructor bios.
- Specify course access: via membership catalog/database or individually purchased courses.
Standards & Agreements
- By participating, Providers agree to meet CATA standards for Approved Provider status. This includes ensuring instructors hold appropriate qualifications, CEU calculations follow CATA guidelines, and course content, administration, and completion processes meet CATA expectations. CATA reserves the right to review courses, audit instructor credentials, and adjust CEU values when necessary.
Next Steps
- Complete the enrollment form and submit payment.
- Upon approval, your courses will be recognized for CEU credit by CATA members.
- If an application is not approved, the fee will be refunded minus a 3% processing fee.
