Call for Speaker Proposals
CATA’s 2020 National Conference
Hamilton, Ontario June 18-20, 2020


The Canadian Athletic Therapists Association is inviting proposals for professional presentations at the 2020 National Conference at the Hamilton Convention Centre in Hamilton Ontario from June 18-20, 2020. Athletic Therapists and affiliated professionals are encouraged to submit proposals presentations, lectures and workshops.
Proposal topics must fall within one of the five domains of practice for athletic therapy
  1. Prevention -­ The identification of injury/illness risk factors associated with activity and implementation of all components of a comprehensive injury/illness prevention program.
  2. Assessment -­ The evaluation of the environment/injury/illness for the primary purpose of administering appropriate intervention(s).
  3. Intervention -­ The implementation of appropriate strategies and techniques to reduce/prevent injury/illness in order to return individuals to regular activities
  4. Practice Management -­ The planning, coordination and supervision of an athletic therapy practice.
  5. Professional Responsibility -­ The identification of the requirements and expectations of a certified athletic therapist.
Proposal submissions must include the application form indicating the presentation type, a 250-­word abstract for review and current CV/Resume. To apply please fill out the application form. All proposals must be submitted by July 12, 2019 for consideration.
